- Chairman Frank P. Asor announces a new program for Franknet's Community Service Projects.
PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT SUPPORTS FFII SUMMER FREE BASIC COMPUTER COURSE 2006
Gov. Lray Villafuerte Jr of the province of Camarines Sur supports Franknet Foundation for its Summer Free Basic Computer Course designed for elementary pupils, high school students, professionals and non-professionals. This has spurred increase in enrollment reservations. Chairman Frank P. Asor said that a lot of professionals who graduated in college have no experience in hands-on computer applications can find their way back to school at Franknet in order to upgrade their professional competency.
A lot of professional teachers, non-professionals and out-of-school youths expressed their support to the said project during the graduation ceremony where they were allowed to give short messages. They’ve wish for a free continuing education in computer technology as espoused by Franknet Foundation.
“There is no other computer school that offers free skills development. We started it all and we are determined to pursue it, of course, with the support of the whole community, non-government organizations and the government...”, said Chairman Asor.
He emphasized further that Skills development is the main focus of the computer course. “When the students are diligent enough to study and practice the simple principles being taught by the instructors during class hours, surely, their skills will improve, hence, competency and efficiency will increase along side with their own interest.”
Governor Villafuerte also expressed his continuing support to the program of Franknet Foundation particularly the free Basic Computer Course by providing funds for the maintenance of the computer instructors.
